anthracite testing guide

If you are helping us test a future release of Anthracite, Thank You! for your help. Here's some stuff you need to know and use.
Should you have any trouble with the program, to get the maximum information about the Program's internal state and what might be wrong, please use Anthracite's Log Window and the MacOS X Console application.

(generally found in Applications -> Utilities)
And of course a pencil and paper to keep good notes.
Next, make sure you have set up an account on the Metafy Bug Server.It's important that all bugs be reported via the bug tracking system, please!!!:

NOTE: If you get a "Unknown Certificate Authority" security error when you access the secure server, it indicates that Metafy LLC has not paid a fee to an authority to verify its identity. To use Metafy's Bug Tracker and Discussion Forums you must accept this security issue by clicking "OK".
Important Notes:
1) It may crash. It may not work. It may not run the first time you try, but it might run the second, and then maybe or maybe not. Nothing is guaranteed. Make sure you are using the latest version. Backup your system. This is development software. Metafy is not responsible for any damage the software may cause to your system. Be sure you know how to use "Force Quit" (command-option-escape) and possibly even the Terminal command line "kill" command to stop the program if it hangs or otherwise fails to respond to your actions.
2) Documents you create may not be forward-compatible. That is, your Anthracite settings that you save may not open in future versions. However, any data you export from Anthracite as files (eg, text files exported to a directory) are not affected, only your processor settings. So you may wish to keep good notes about how your custom processes are configured.
3) The program will time out, each test version will time-bomb and stop working at some (unspecified) point in the future.
4) Please do not give it to anyone else! If there is someone you absolutely think must try it, please ask first and introduce.
5) Anthracite tracks usage by making requests to a central server for update and registration info. An encrypted version of your registration key is the only information that is transmitted.
6) Please try some of the specific Test Suite tests and fill out the Survey after you've tried it for awhile

Please submit bugs with system info and the program's execution log, you can configure your bug-tracking profile to include this information automatically, unless you use multiple computers. So, please configure your profile with your system information.
Free Copies of the software will be provided to the top 10 bug reporters. Everyone else who reports any bugs at all will receive a discount on the final price. The Top Tester, the "Best Bug" (my subjective opinion) and the First Person to find the Easter Egg will each also receive a T-Shirt.
